The Out of the Darkness Community Walk starts out of Delaney Park Strip, west end, down N Street, to the Westchester Lagoon trail, following the trail to where it links with the Coastal trail. Following along the Coastal trail to Elderberry Park, then zigzagging through neighborhood communities on: 5th Ave, N St, 6th Ave, 8th Ave, Stolt until you come back up 9th Ave to the park. The route is roughly 3 miles and does include some hills. We start near the rose garden.
The route is not technically challenging, it does have some elevation change, however is fairly wheelchair friendly throughout the majority of its length. If you or members of your team would like to attend the walk and be a part of the day’s events but do not wish to actually walk for physical or other concerns, there will be volunteers and attendees who remain at the staging area to welcome the walkers back.
