3pm – 5pm:
5pm – 5:45pm: Opening Ceremony
5:45pm – 7:15pm: ~4-mile walk past DC’s major memorials at sunset
7:15pm – 8:00pm:
Please bring a photo of your loved ones lost to the Walk. Based on the photos submitted, local artists will draw portraits onto large canvases, that will form the 'Mural of Loved Ones Lost.' The artwork will be revealed during the closing ceremony. Walkers will receive LED candles along the walk route. These can be placed under the mural to honor loved ones, once walkers return to Constitution Gardens after the walk. The top 5 Fundraising Teams as of 09/14 will receive the opportunity to publicly honor those they are walking for on stage during the remembrance activity.
