The Out of the Darkness Community Walks are the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) signature fundraising campaign, bringing together family, friends, colleagues, and supporters at 3-5 mile walks in hundreds of communities across the country.
When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks, you join the effort with thousands of people to raise funds and awareness for AFSP's vision to create a world without suicide.
Click the Register Now! button at the top of the page to get started right away.
Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at the Walk!
For a donation you can get your pooch an AFSP Doggie bandana and a raffle ticket to win a Doggie Basket or Grooming Package.
This year we are offering the opportunity for walkers to dedicate a sign in memory of a loved one. These signs will be placed along the 5K route as a memorial to those we have lost and as a reminder of why we fight to bring the issue of suicide out of the darkness and help those who may still be struggling. For a $50 donation, a sign will be created in memory of your loved one and personalized with a message or quote. After the Walk is finished, you are welcome to take your sign home. CLICK HERE to download the Walk Dedication Sign Order Form. The deadline to order your dedication sign is January 23rd.
