Online registration closes at noon the Friday before the walk. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts. Walk donations are accepted until June 30th.
When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Campus Walks, you join the effort with thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.
As the leader in the fight against suicide, and thanks to walkers like you from cities across the country, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.

While fundraising is not required at our walk, every dollar raised helps the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention get education, advocacy, and research funding programs into our communities and colleges.
Here are 3 things you can do that are proven to help kick-start fundraising:
#1: Personalize your online walker page.
Use your page to tell your story about why you care about walking for suicide prevention. Include a personal photo too, if you can.
#2: Donate to yourself.
Even if you can only donate $10, it's easier to ask others to donate if they see you have also contributed.
#3: Don't Be Shy... Ask! :)
It's OK to ask others to contribute. You should share your page on social media and email your family members, asking for small contributions (which are tax-deductible).
