Dear Friends,
On August 4, 2010, the world lost one of the most amazing young people it has ever been blessed with. That young woman is my daughter, and she was 19 at the time of her passing. While we are saddened by her being gone, we feel that our lives have been forever transformed, and not just in a bad way.
We know that she continues to watch over us with all the love she can give. For that reason, I will honor her by walking in her memory in the 2013 Out of the Darkness walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I would appreciate any support that you give me for this worthwhile cause.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 36,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.
