Fundraising Page for Skagit Valley College Campus Walk
May 19, 2012 at Skagit Valley College
Dear Friend,
I will be joining with thousands of students nationwide this spring to walk in AFSP's Skagit Valley College Campus WalkOut of the Darkness Campus Walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I would appreciate any support that you give me for this worthwhile cause.
As many of you know, I lost my son, Taylor Martin McLaughlin to suicide on May 21, 2007 at the tender age of 16. The impact of this loss has been devastating to all of the students of Anacortes High School, Taylor's Grandparents, Uncle, cousins, sister, and friends, Earl, Linda, Mike, Tanner, Camden, and Jazmin. We will all come together and walk in his honor on May 19, 2012 and hope that you will join us.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 33,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.
I hope you will consider supporting my participation in this event. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP, and all donations are 100% tax deductible.
Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation please click the "Support This Participant" button on this page.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Taylor, you are forever loved and missed beyond words. Rest in peace my boy...
