Dear Friend,
As you know, last December I lost my nephew to suicide. It was one of the most shocking experiences of my life. My wonderful, beautiful nephew decided that life was too much and that he would leave it. That also means that we no longer get the pleasure of his smile and his loving, sensitive heart.
Part of our therapy, so to speak, as a family is to contribute to an organization that strives to reduce suicide worldwide, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). We are starting that therapy by walking together in AFSP's Chicagoland Community Walk on September 29th.
