My fundraising efforts are in loving memory of my awesome dad, John Glandorff, who took his own life on June 11, 2008.
Not only will I be participating in the walk, but I will also be a guest speaker, talking about my experience with my dad's passing and also the importance of getting a diagnosis.
My goal is $3,000, which might be a little much. But this year, I'm going at this fundraising harder than ever! I'm sending letters to businesses to get their support, and getting more people to join my team.
I will be joining with thousands of people nationwide to walk in AFSP's Los Angeles Community Walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I would appreciate any support that you give me for this worthwhile cause.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 36,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.
