Even though Doug suffered with severe depression, he lived his life to the fullest.  He was loved by many, and especially by me, his wife.  He was funny and witty and always telling me about sports.  We called him Doug.com, since he was a fount of knowledge.  He encouraged me to check-out subjects I never would have thought I would be interested in. He cooked for every friend he'd ever had and won many bar-b-que contests!

We loved to travel.  He took me places near and far; places I never thought I'd see.  He has friends all over the world that we visited.  

Doug loved documentaries and movies.  His favorite movie was Apocalypse Now and the line, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning."
