Megan was a loving partner, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a hard worker with a sweet soul. Her creativity and artistic abilities were always surprising us. She had a gift to create beautiful things. She loved animals and animals were drawn to her from a young age.

One of her proudest accomplishments was her service to her country. She followed in her father’s footsteps and joined the United States Army. Her platoon was full of troublemakers and she loved them for it. She got in trouble for smiling too much at Basic Training. She really embraced the challenge and had a positive attitude about the experience. It helped to build her confidence. She became an Avionics Mechanic and did her National Guard duty in Pendleton then Salem. Later she was honorably discharged.

Megan loved the outdoors and spent some time backpacking, camping, hiking, and playing with frogs and salamanders. The Pacific Ocean and trips to the beach were very special to her.

Megan strived to be different and to do things her own way. She had a spirit that did not want to be confined and she was a special, unique person. She didn’t like to be the center of attention but she had an incredible sense of humor. She made a lot of people laugh and her smile was infectious. Megan had many layers to her.

We all miss her dearly and would do anything to be able to laugh with her again. She is loved so deeply, forever and always.
