Welcome to the AFSP Massachusetts Chapter Event Hub

While our community events in Massachusetts are going to look different, our mission to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide has not changed. We are a strong and resilient community, united in our effort to fight suicide, raise awareness, educate our communities, support those who have lost loved ones, and support those with lived experience. We use our voices and share our stories to provide hope. We’re working hard to plan meaningful opportunities to connect and inspire you, and to provide you with the opportunity to raise funds that will make a difference in your community.

About the AFSP Massachusetts Chapter

The grassroots work our chapter does focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by in Massachusetts by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide.

Our chapter serves all of Massachusetts. As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, we bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. Together we are creating a culture that's smart about mental health.

Featured Programs (now available virtually!)

Healing Conversations gives survivors of suicide loss the opportunity to speak with volunteers, who are themselves loss survivors.

Available by phone or video chat, our volunteers are familiar with the isolation that so often accompanies a death of this kind, and are able to show suicide loss survivors a way forward into a world of support.

Contact Associate Area Director Michele Lee to learn more and to schedule a conversation.

Talk Saves Lives is a community-based presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide.

Attendees will learn the risk and warning signs of suicide, and how together, we can help prevent it.

Contact Associate Area Director Heather White to learn more and to schedule a presentation.
