Raise awareness and break the stigma surrounding mental health diseases by taking part in this 5k run/walk at Rutgers University.
Last year our father, Phil Mazzini, died by taking his own life. When we noticed how uncomfortable people felt when they discovered his cause of death, we realized we needed to take action. Mental health diseases are real and we need to learn to talk about them. Building a support system to help solve the many problems that circulate mental health is important and together we can make a difference!
We see the effort that goes into helping people deal with depression and anxiety, but we still see individuals try to hide their pain from the world. We want to make a change in how mental health diseases are handled.
If you know someone who struggles or has struggled with any mental health disease, if you have struggled yourself, or if you simply want to support this cause, please sign up for our run/walk and donate to our AFSP donation drive to fund scientific research and provide resources to those affected by mental health diseases.
Now, lets come together and all be a part of this change!
