NEW WALK LOCATION!! Join us at Boston City Hall Plaza!!

WE (USUALLY) WALK RAIN OR SHINE...EXCEPT IN A NOR'EASTER!

Never fear, the Boston Out of the Darkness Walk will go on...just on another day!  We have postponed the walk one week to Saturday, November 3rd at Boston City Hall Plaza.  Your safety is our number one priority, and we want your event experience to be as special as possible.  Due to concerns regarding the high winds and poor weather and recommendations from Boston City Hall, we have decided that postponing the walk one week is the best course of action.  We hope you ALL can still join us as we walk to fight suicide in Boston on November 3rd!

Online registration has been extended and will remain open until 12:00pm on Friday, November 2nd.  We welcome anyone and everyone to participate the day of the event and will check additional walkers in with an offline form at our registration tent.

ACTIVITIES OF HOPE AND HEALING

Honor Beads:

Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection.

The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance and a walk that unites a community – a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones. We all wear honor beads - each color shows our personal connection to the cause, and helps us identify others who understand our experience

WHITE - LOST A CHILD

RED -  LOST A SPOUSE OR PARTNER

GOLD - LOST A PARENT

ORANGE - LOST A SIBLING

PURPLE - LOST A RELATIVE OR FRIEND

SILVER -  LOST FIRST RESPONDER / MILITARY

GREEN - STRUGGLED PERSONALLY

BLUE - SUPPORT THE CAUSE

TEAL - FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF SOMEONE WHO STRUGGLES

Thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you at the walk!
