Memory Board

Honor Beads

Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection.

The Hike for Hope is a journey of remembrance and a hike that unites a community – a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones. We all wear honor beads - each color shows our personal connection to the cause, and helps us identify others who understand our experience

Some great AFSP merchandise will be available for sale including items from our Be The Voice line.

Light breakfast foods will be available at the start of the Hike.  Raffles, music, a barbecue and a closing ceremony will take place at the top of the mountain after the hike.

Online registration closes at noon (local time) the Friday before the hike. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk from the time check-in begins until the hike starts. Hike donations are accepted until June 30.

As the leader in the fight against suicide, and thanks to hikers like you, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.
