Activities of Hope and Healing

Memory and Hope Wall

Share your story, leave a message of hope or why the walk is important to you. Or, If you are a survivor of suicide loss, we encourage you to bring a non-returnable photo of your loved one to the event to add to the Memorial Wall.

Honor Beads

Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection. There is an honor bead for everyone, whether you have lost a loved one, struggle personally, support a friend and/or family member, or all of the above. Learn more by watching our honor bead video.

Other Activities

The Fargo/Moorhead Area Walk is a family friendly event. There will be activities for our younger walkers to enjoy.

There are tons of local organizations, clubs, and businesses! Take some time to chat with other community mental health partners!

A photography station will be available for all groups to get their Team/Group pictures taken before the walk.

The Out of the Darkness Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.
