Participants will have exclusive access via Zoom to a full wine education seminar to learn about the wine you select and proper wine tasting techniques presented by a Certified Wine Specialist, James Cripps.

James Cripps is certified as a wine specialist by the Society of Wine Educators of America. In the wine trade for over 35 years, he has traveled and studied in many wineries and vineyards throughout the world. James is currently the wine educator for two large liquor distributorships and is a wine consultant to the best restaurants in Arkansas.

Due to Arkansas Alcohol laws, we are unable to provide and include the wine in the ticket price. James will be discussing many different wines and will cover the wines you select. He suggests purchasing the following:

1. White wine such as chardonnay, sauvignon blanc or pinot gris (pinot grigio)

2. Rose'

3. Red wine such as a pinot noir for a lighter style, cabernet or syrah for a full bodied style

If you see a wine that looks interesting and you want to try it, buy it and James will discuss it. The wines can be purchased in any size from full bottles (750 ml), half bottles (375 ml) or single serve size (187 ml). You can even purchase wine in cans now so ask your wine store clerk for recommendations.

Be prepared with a glass of water for each participant and a dump bucket. Everyone can pour one oz. of wine for tasting and then we can return to the wines after we evaluate them and enjoy drinking.

James will talk about wine through history, wine and food pairings and wine and travel.

Be prepared to ask questions about all things wine connected and try to stump the wine guy.
