While our Hike for Hope will offered Virtually this year, our mission to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide has not changed. We are a strong and resilient community, united in our effort to fight suicide, raise awareness, educate our communities, support those who have lost loved ones, and support those with lived experience.
Location: This is a virtual event so participants can hike at their own trail location.
We would suggest you hike at your own pace and either have a goal of a certain amount of miles hiked with sponsors to donate accordingly or just hike (or walk) and have fun! On your personal page – there is a handy spot to record the number of miles you hike to keep an ongoing track.
If you raise $150 you will receive a very cool Hike for Hope t-shirt!! AFSP is a non-profit organization aimed at reducing the number of suicides per year. They also advocate, educate & offer support for loss and healing.
The organizer of the event - Bobbi Rich - will be hiking at the Boo Hoff Trail in the Cove of La Quinta. You can join her there as there are several trails that offer different levels of difficulty. Some of the other trails in the desert are:
The Big Morongo Canyon Reserve has many trails to choose from
