Congratulations to those who raised $100 by April 24th to earn a 2021 Campus Walks T-Shirt!

Team Donations — Donations can be made to a team, BUT incentives are based only on INDIVIDUAL fundraising. Any donations made to the team as a whole will not go to any of the team members' individual fundraising totals. So please fundraise as an individual by sending friends and family to your personal page, and ask for a team "sponsorship" from local businesses, clubs, etc. and use it as a way to ask for donations during a team fundraising event!  Donations can be accepted through June 30th; however, only donations through April 24th will qualify for a campus walk t-shirt.

Activities of Hope & Healing

Honor Beads

Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental health condition can sometimes feel as if no one understands what you are going through. Wearing honor beads is a way to show each other that we are all connected to the cause, and that no one is alone.

There is an honor bead for everyone, whether you have lost a loved one, struggle personally, support a friend and/or family member, or all of the above.

The Out of the Darkness Campus Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, support, and a walk that unites a campus and community – a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones.

When you participate in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.

As the leader in the fight against suicide, and thanks to walkers like you from cities across the country, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.
