Join Me in Supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
I'm walking in the Out of the Darkness Ocean City Walk to fight suicide and support AFSP's bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by 2025. Maryland has a suicide every 16 hours on average. Of those, suicide is the #1 cause of death for ages 10 -14 in the state...NUMBER 1!!! # 3 for ages 15 - 34 and # 5 for 35 - 44. It goes on and on. 83 cents of every dollar goes to the foundation, very rare by non-profit standards!
I have been personally affected by suicide as a young child and I have fought this battle myself several times. My goal is to help further awareness and to provide education & resources for those in need of winning their own battle as well as for their families & friends.
I am offering several fundraisers throughout the summer to help me not only reach my goal but to surpass it. Included are a Paint Experince nite, Chinese Auction, 50/50 raffles, self defense session for women and more!
Please help me reach my goal by clicking the "Donate" button on this page. All donations are 100% tax deductible and benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), funding research, education, advocacy, and support for those affected by suicide. #savealife #givehope
