Join Me in Supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
I'm walking in the Out of the Darkness North Shore Walk to fight suicide and support AFSP's bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by 2025. My first time participating in the Out of the Darkness North Shore Walk was only two weeks after my best friend committed suicide. I was still numb to the pain but without the people I have met through these walks and all of the support and love I have recieved I could not have gotten through these past two years without them.. As much as I miss my best friend I am thankful for this group of people and what this has taught me. I now know that no matter how big someones smile or how perfect their life may be, it could be the complete opposite. Don't judge a book by its cover.
Team Ashley walks in memory of Ashley Marie Frawley (November 19th 1996-August 30th 2015). It has almost been two years, all though it feels like just yesterday she was with us.. Ashley was a lifelong resident of Lynn, she graduated from Lynn English High School with the class of 2015. She loved spending time with her friends, family, and animals. Ashley enjoyed cheerleading, swimming and playing soccer. Horseback riding was one of her greatest joys as she loved horses. Her smile and laugh were contagious, she was truly one of a kind. Always lending a hand and making you forget any problem you ever had, she was just an amazing person. Ash could light up any room that she walked in. As happy as Ashley was she was in a constant battle that not many can understand. I want to bring awareness to teenage suicide and prevention. If you know someone or you yourself are stuggling with suicidal thoughts, please do not hesitate to reach out for help. I promise you are not alone.
Living in such a close community and losing someone so young to such a traggic cause, I watched my city become one and there was never ending love. I want to spread our love and show everyone what we can do. Join us and walk in memory of Ashley, help us reduce the rate of suicide. Spread love and show people that there are others out there struggling too. I know that I am exactly where I am supposed to be, there was a reason that Ashley came into my life and that was to teach me everything that you have and will continue to teach me. I hope to help anyway who comes my way. I miss you everyday and I will do everything to show you that we can do this. Join Ashleys army and walk with us.
