Join Me in Supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
I'm participating in the Out of the Darkness West Essex Experience to fight suicide and support AFSP's bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by 2025.
Please join me, Adam Cruz, for a live stream event directly at: djadamcruz.com on Friday, October 2, 2020 8pm ET, benefiting AFSP. I will be expanding upon my years-long Plena Punk art project.
Plena Punk is an exhibit series that delves into Puerto Rican identity, religion, and music. Each art piece is compiled by vectorizing and layering images of objects, musical instruments, and symbols that explore the Puerto Rican diaspora and its impact on culture and on my own Puerto Rican identity. Plena Punk was originally exhibited as part of New Jersey State University's Council on Hispanic Affairs 2017 Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations.
In 2020, I have printed this work onto canvas and will begin the process of adding color to this all black and white series. As I take these new steps, I will live stream this experience on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 8pm ET. Watch me as I paint live as well as play unreleased music from my own Mixtape Sessions record label.
Please also help me reach my goal of raising $1,111 by clicking the "Donate" button on this page. All donations are 100% tax deductible and benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), funding research, education, advocacy, and support for those affected by suicide. My goal is to reach this goal by December 31, 2020.
Thank you for your support and join me live on Friday, October 2 at: djadamcruz.com
