While death is a part of everyday life, some death comes harder than others - Suicide survivors specifically. It is heartbreaking to losing the opportunity to save them and harder still being robbed of reason or goodbyes. Suicide, I firmly believe is deeply rooted in sickness: physical, mental or a combination of both. Matthew E. Turley joined our heavenly father on January 15th 2012. He left behind his wife Christina, his son, William Harrison and a large circle of friends and family whom miss him dearly every day. Today, on January 15th, 2013 - the one year anniversary of his passing, we would like to begin to invite you to contribute to his memorial fund, and then again on his birthday (May 10th) each year in memory of him. You can donate as little as a $1.00 if you'd like. I am hiding the amounts of donations from the page so you do not feel any pressure to give more than you can or feel comfortable doing so. This money will help spare others of the pain we’ve had to endure.

This money will be used in two ways:
1. To help promote prevention and awareness around suicide. I hope that this fund helps save other families the heartache ours endures...
2. To help families who are the survivors to victims of suicide... especially those with children. There is not a lot of support out there specifically for the children of victims and I can tell you the financial burden aside from the emotional burden left on the family is great.

I would like to thank everyone who has specifically been here for me, my stepson Harrison and our family. Your love and support means more than we could ever express and we thank you so much. I would like to thank the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for helping us set up this fund along with my brother in law Jesse, whom really was instrumental in getting this off the ground.

I hope you will consider making a donation to help others - even if it’s only the price of one McDonalds Meal. PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER - YOU MATTER. YOU BELONG HERE. YOU HAVE PURPOSE.

May God bless you and your family and keep you safe.

Sincerely,

Christina M. Turley, Widow of Matthew E. Turley
