Oftentimes when we hear of someone dying by suicide, there's always something we wish we could have done to help, or thoughts of, "What if? What if I'd been there? What if I'd just smiled at this person or said hello? What if that made a difference?"
IN 27 DAYS (Blink/HarperCollins, 2017) tells the story of Hadley Jamison, who feels something similar when she hears that her classmate, Archer Morales, has killed himself. Under impossible circumstances, Hadley makes a deal to go back in time to try and stop Archer from taking his own life before it's too late.
However, IN 27 DAYS is a work of fiction, and though we might wish we could go back in time to stop our loved ones from following through with thoughts of suicide, we can't.
That's why we are joining the community of nearly 250k people walking in hundreds of cities across the country in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
