Ben, the boys, and I will once again walk in the Chicagoland Out of the Darkness Walk on Saturday September 23rd.I enjoy this walk for many reasons. I love having a day with family and friends talking about and remember our Andrew. I think it is critical to raise money and bring awareness to the awful disease that took Andrew from us. And I feel a bond with all the other people who lives have been impacted by suicide
Our lives have been forever changed with Andrew’s death. At the funeral I shared that I was afraid for that day to end because as we all moved forward it would be in a world that might start treating Andrew’s death as normal. I am so grateful that five plus years later so many of you let me know that Andrew is always in your thoughts and heart. The pain of Andrew’s death never lessen, Ben, the boys and I have just learned to move forward. The support, compassion, patience and love you all have showered upon us have helped us heal, thank you.
We hope you are free on the 23rd and able to join our team as we walk in Andrew’s memory. Just click on JOIN TEAM.The walk once again is in our backyard, south Grant Park. After the walk everyone is invited back to our place for some food, drink, and camaraderie.
Thank you doesn’t seem enough to share how grateful we are for the incredible generosity and continual support. We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends!
Ben, Sheila, David, Aida, Ben Jr, Jen, Ryan, Colin, and always Andrew
