The walk will be at the Oneonta Moose Lodge at 119 W Broadway, Oneonta. Plenty of parking is available in the Moose Lodge parking lot.
The walk is approximately a 1 mile route. Please stay on the walk route and follow the route signs. The route is stroller, wheelchair and dog friendly.

Remember, in addition to fundraising online, you will be able to turn in additional cash or check donations at the registration table the day of the Walk.
Make sure to arrive early to allow time to explore the resources area.
Information tables hosted by local businesses and non-profit organizations will open at 9:00 am. This will be an opportunity to gather literature, hear about upcoming events, and connect with others who are dedicated to raising awareness of mental illness and suicide, strengthening prevention efforts, and providing support to those impacted by suicide loss.
There will be food, Chinese auction, Lifekeeper Memory quilt, memorial activities and local community resources available all morning. AFSP merchandise will be available for purchase. Participants are welcome to bring a picture of a loved one to display and take back at the end of the walk.
Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection.
The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance and a walk that unites a community – a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones. We all wear honor beads - each color shows our personal connection to the cause, and helps us identify others who understand our experience
