On Wednesday night, March 20, 2019, the first day of spring, our caring, beautiful, selfless, and radiant Erica took her own life. 

Suicide leaves so many questions unanswered; by us, by those who loved her, and by anyone who was touched by her generous soul. As we all seek any semblance of understanding, please know that Erica was loved and gave her love and life so uninhibited to others. 

Her Chinese zodiac was an Ox. Filling a room with her laughter and caring presence, Erica would put the focus on others instead of herself. She would make sure your tea or plate was filled first, would ask how you were doing and sought to make you happy, all while never demanding the same be returned. She was giving. She gave all of herself to her family, friends, and work. 

We encourage you to talk to your own loved ones as you work through the grieving process, say a prayer or remembering thought of Erica, but most importantly let us never forget every amazing day for 33 years we were blessed to have Erica in our lives.

Erica leaves her father Wing, mother Sou, brother Michael, sister-in-law Lauren, grandmother Sui Ying Lee, Uncles and Aunts Alan & Florence, Jim & Lily, David & Jennifer, Pat & Sou Ping, & Lucy; and many close cousins and friends.

Proceeds from Erica's Memorial Funds will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) L.A. Chapter dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide.
