I spent most of my life knowing my father only as a mystery.  I never had the opportunity to really get to know him and have found more insight into who he was in the days after his death.  David was always recognized and remembered as a good man.  He was intelligent beyond measure and always brought humor to every situation he encountered.  As an adult, I have developed a great understanding of mental illness and the devastation it can cause to those afflicted; I only wish I had tried to reach out to David before he came to what he felt was the end of his road.  I hope this memorial fund raises awareness for those who encountered David or anyone else that may be suffering inside; hopefully the message will get out that no one is ever alone and every life has value and purpose.  Thank you for your generous contribution.
