The Redding Out of the Darkness Walk is planned and put on by Volunteers. If you would like to be a part of the planning commitee and help use your skills and passion to make this event even better, just let us know.

The Top Team on the day prior to the walk (9/12/14) will carry the walk banner and lead the walk!
We will have a raffle drawing with great prizes from local businesses, Community Partners from the Redding Area, Chapter representatives to help fill you in on everything AFSP is doing in our communities, refreshments, and much more!
The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a 3-5 mile scenic walk taking place in more than 300 communities across the country this fall. Proceeds will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, to fund research, education, survivor and awareness programs — both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide.
The Walk begins and ends at the Sundial Bridge and we will have details and route specifics posted soon.
Dogs are welcome at the Walk. People and canine friendly ones only please & please clean up after your dog!
Volunteer with us on Walk Day and help us make the Redding Out of the Darkness Community Walk a success. Our walk is planned and managed by Volunteers just like you, and we would love to have your help on the day of the walk.
We'll have volunteers helping with everything from Event Set Up & Breakdown to Food and Beverage Stations, the Honor Bead Tent, Route Support, Prize Giveaways, and much more!

*Online registration closes at noon (local time) the Friday before the walk. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk during the check-in times listed above. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st.
