The Top Team on the day prior to the walk (10/25/14) will carry the walk banner and lead the walk on Walk Day!

Walk Details & Activities:

The 2014 Community Walk will have all of our Remembrance Activities and program details as well as new additions and a new route!

Remembrance Activities:

Walk Route:

The South Bay Community Walk route is a scenic walk throughout portions of De Ana Community College’s campus and along Stevens Creek Blvd. We will be walking mostly on paved and graded paths and there is very little elevation change and will follow a loop to return back to the staging area that we began in for our closing ceremonies. The route is wheelchair friendly throughout most of its length and is designed to be accessible for the majority of participants including family members.

Volunteer With Us On Walk Day:

Volunteer with us on Walk Day and help us make the San Francisco Out of the Darkness Community Walk a success. Our walk is planned and managed by Volunteers just like you, and we would love to have your help on the day of the walk.

We'll have volunteers helping with everything from Event Set Up & Breakdown to Food and Beverage Stations, the Honor Bead Tent, Route Support, Prize Giveaways, and much more!

Email us if you are interetsed in helping with the walk or if you have any questions about Volunteering with us.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

Our generous local sponsors help make our Bay Area Out of the Darkness Walks possible. Sponsoring a walk is a great way for local businesses to support their communities and to be more visible.

If you know a business owner or local company that might want to sponsor one of the Bay Area walks, email us, or send them the sponsor packet.

Map & Driving Directions:

The South Bay Out of the Darkness Community Walk will be held at De Anza Community College once again. Thislocation is easily accessible by most freeways and there is ample parking on site.

*Online registration closes at noon (local time) the Friday before the walk. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk during the check-in times listed above. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st.
