The Out of the Darkness Community Walks are the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's (AFSP) signature fundraising campaign, bringing together family, friends, colleagues, and supporters at 3-5 mile walks in hundreds of communities across the country.
When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks, you join the effort with thousands of people to raise funds and awareness for AFSP's vision to create a world without suicide.

Register your team of 5 participants and raise $750.00 as a team by July 1, 2014. You can raise $750 from one walker or each walker can raise $100 to help the team. Your Team Name will be listed on the official 2014 Walk T-shirt and you’ll have a sign with your Team Name posted at the walk.
Each registered Participant who raises $150 by walk day will receive an official 2014 Walk T-shirt. The participant can be a member of a team but the funds must be raised individually. Each Individual who meets the T-shirt goal of $150 by May 31, 2014 will receive an additional gift for raising their minimum goal early.
Each Individual who raises $1,000 by the day of the walk becomes a member of the Life Savers Club. The participant can be a member of a team but the funds must be raised individually. Members of the Life Savers Club receive a special Life Savers Club gift and recognition at the walk.
