The 11th annual San Francisco Out of the Darkness Community Walk will take place on 9/21/14 in a new location and the Greater SF Bay Area Chapter is thrilled to be bringing the event to a more central and much more visible downtown location.

The San Francisco Out of the Darkness Walk is planned and put on by Volunteers each year. If you would like to be a part of the planning commitee and help use your skills and passion to make this event even better, just let us know.

The 2014 Community Walk will have all of our Remembrance Activities and program details as well as new additions and a new route!
Our new walk route will be approximately 3 miles over level and mostly paved surfaces that is very accesible to all of our walkers. We will begin and end at Mission Creek Park and will walk along the Embarcadero and the scenic waterfront. If you would like to walk only part of the walk route, you will be able to turn back at any point, and we will have event volunteers along the way to help with questions.
Volunteer with us on Walk Day and help us make the San Francisco Out of the Darkness Community Walk a success. Our walk is planned and managed by Volunteers just like you, and we would love to have your help on the day of the walk.
We'll have volunteers helping with everything from Event Set Up & Breakdown to Food and Beverage Stations, the Honor Bead Tent, Route Support, Prize Giveaways, and much more!

This year's San Francisco Out of the Darkness Community Walk will be held at Mission Creek Park in San Francisco! We are looking forward to bringing the event to a more central location with better access from public transportation - and a much more visible walk route!
*Online registration closes at noon (local time) the Friday before the walk. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk during the check-in times listed above. Walk donations are accepted until December 31st.
