I will be joining with thousands of people nationwide this fall to walk in AFSP's Southern New Jersey WalkOut of the Darkness Community Walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I would appreciate any support that you give me for this worthwhile cause. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 38,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.
I hope you will consider supporting my participation in this event. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP, and all donations are 100% tax deductible. Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation please click the "Support This Participant" button on this page.
I am very dedicated to this cause as I have been both a survivor and almost a victim myself three separate times. I over the course of the past 13 years have thought about and attempted suicide thankfully surviving! My fiance who like me suffers from a mental illness has also attempted. I have also unfortunately lost three really good friends to suicide. Because of all of these people and myself I am putting my heart and soul into this cause. I was recently introduced to the walk and very proud that an initiative is being taken to help those with thoughts about suicide and the friends and family who have suffered a loss from suicide.
Please help in any way you can to help prevent more suicides! Any little bit helps.
