Since 2011 I have joining with thousands of people nationwide to walk in AFSP's Out of the Darkness Anchorage Walk to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. I would appreciate any support that you give me for this worthwhile cause.

November of 2010, I lost a dear friend to Suicide. David Komakhuk, first photo, was my best friend. When I found out about his passing I was devistated, lost, heartbroken, and confused. I went into a depression and stopped doing everything that I loved to do. I blamed myself for not seeing the signs. It was about 6 months later after his passing I knew I needed to change.

That is when I decided I want to prevent this cause so people dont have to feel the pain I am going through. So People can realize, even if they are hurting there are people everywhere to help you. That is when I wasnted to get involved and let everyone know, Every Life Matters and that you are not alone. So I have been participating in every Anchorage Out of the Darkness Walk, and I participated in the Washington DC overnight walk in 2013.

This past November (2014) I lost another close friend to suicide, Will Pintsch. He was always happy, and the humorous guy. It breaks my heart knowing I will never see his smiling face again, or hear his laugh.

I want to now to everything I possibly can, to help this cause. Suicide is 100% preventable and I want to be more involved with AFSP.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 39,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.

I hope you will consider supporting my participation in this event. Any contribution will help the work of AFSP, and all donations are 100% tax deductible.

Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation please click the "Donate" button on this page.

$10, $25, $50, what ever amount you can contribute would help save a life. Even if one life was saved, this all would be worth it.

If you would also like to join me for the walk, it is on May 16th at 10am. We will be meeting at the West end of the park strip. Make sure you register under my team Zaukarphotography!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, hope to see you there!
