Team Jake Pongrace

Portsmouth Walk

Dear Friend,

Our beloved Jake passed from this world in the arms of his brother, Matt, and his father, Joe, on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at his home in North Hampton. He was 22.

Jake graduated from Winnacunnet High School with the Class of 2009 and attended CDIA Photography School at Boston University. A strong athlete, Jake was a four-year high school varsity lacrosse player. After high school, he explored two loves: the outdoors, with the National Outdoor Leadership School in the Pacific Northwest, and photography, as he captured the beauty of the New Hampshire Seacoast, his beloved family and large group of friends.

Known for his loving personality and warm bear hugs, Jake will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In Jake's honor, we have created Team Jake Pongrace and we will be joining with thousands of people nationwide to walk in the Portsmouth Walk, benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), and we would appreciate any support that you give for this worthwhile cause.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 38,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.

Any contribution will help the work of AFSP, and all donations are 100% tax deductible.

Donating online is safe and easy! To make an online donation please select one of the team participants listed below and then click the "Support This Participant" button on their page. Donations can only be made to individuals, but the total each participant raises goes toward our team goal.

Thank you for visiting the Team Jake Pongrace fundraising page!

Sincerely,

Team Jake Pongrace
