FAQ’s:

Is there a registration fee?

There is no registration fee to participate, but each individual who raises $100 or more will earn the Official Hike for Hope t-shirt!

How do I make an offline donation?

To send a donation by check, please complete this form and send it with your check to the address indicated on the form.

Can I register at the hike?

YES!  You can register in-person at the hike and donations will be accepted until May 11, 2024.

Is there a fundraising minimum?

No, but we strongly encourage each participant to set a $100 minimum fundraising goal to help support AFSP's mission of saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide.  And, again, individuals who raise $100 or more by event day will receive the official Hike for Hope t-shirt!

How can I fundraise?

Utilize the AFSP Participant Hub found at the top of this page for fundraising information and ideas.

You can also fundraise for this event through Facebook, but your Facebook fundraiser must be started through your personal fundraiser portal created here once you register for donations to appear on our page.  Simply visit your dashboard  in the fundraiser portal, then click "Start a Facebook Fundraiser" and it will walk you through the steps!  You can also view our Facebook Fundraiser FAQ here.

It is important to note that if you start the fundraiser on Facebook by using their "add a donate button" feature or by launching a Facebook fundraising campaign such as a birthday fundraiser, the donations will be sent to AFSP, but they will not appear on your page or go towards your Hike for Hope fundraising.  If you have questions about this, please contact jputkoski@afsp.org.

Route Information:

The full route is a full 5k (or 3.10 miles) long.  There are points where you can choose to turn around early and not do the full hike.  The first turnaround is at Dead Man's Hollow at one mile in, where you can turn around and head back on the main trail.  The second turnaround is at the 1.55 mile marker and will give you the full 5k route.  You can also choose to turn around at any point and do any length of the hike you wish.

Parking Information:

There will be parking available at the Boston PA Trailhead Office located at 1906 Donner Street, Boston, PA 15135, as well as under the Boston Bridge and at the Boston PA Soccer Field.
