We are joining thousands of people virtually or in person across the country this spring in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

Suicide prevention, support for survivors of suicide loss and support for those that struggle is very personal to us.  We, like so many others, have have felt the pain of the loss of a loved one and do the best we can to support each other and those that continue to struggle.

Team Mariotek was originally created in 2014 to honor the life and memory of our only child, Matthew Weddle, who died by suicide while he was a student at UT Dallas in July of 2014.   Matthew was kind and really smart with a quirky sense of humor, a big smile and dreams of making a positive difference in the world.

Our team and mission has grown over the years to support others in honoring their friends and loved ones, to understand the "why" of suicide and to bring education and awareness to suicide prevention and the importance of brain health to get rid of the stigma surrounding these topics and to literally save lives.

Together, we can make a difference.  You matter!  You are enough!  Your thoughts and feelings are important.  We are here for you!
