83 cents of every donor dollar to AFSP directly supports our four focus areas: research, advocacy, education, and support.  AFSP is proud to receive an "A" rating from Charity Watch and the highest rating of four stars from Charity Navigator.  Since the pandemic began, AFSP has reached more than 33,000 people nationwide through our virtual suicide prevention programs.
AFSP leads the field in suicide prevention research, with a current investment of $20 million, funding 38 new studies this year and another 100 studies in progress AFSP's 30,000 volunteer Field Advocates have pushed to pass over 50 state laws and 13 major federal policies for mental health and suicide prevention in the last few years. AFSP's Interactive Screen Program has connected over 180k people to help they would not have sought otherwise.

Start a Facebook Fundraiser

You can also start a #GivingTuesday fundraiser on Facebook that links back to your walk page! Please note: if you'd like funds to appear on your walk page, your Facebook fundraiser must be started through your personal fundraiser portal in DonorDrive for donations to appear on your page. Simply visit your dashboard in the fundraiser portal, then click "Start a Facebook Fundraiser" from the Your Fundraising menu on the right side of the page.

Important: If you start the Fundraiser on Facebook using the "add a donate button feature" or by launching a new fundraising campaign through the #Give2AFSP campaign on Facebook, donations will be sent to AFSP as general donations from Facebook and will not appear on your page.
