Invest today to leave a legacy of hope for tomorrow!

Planned giving ensures that your donation goes to something meaningful to you: helping the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention continue our work to save lives. By leaving a lasting tribute to AFSP through the pledge of a future financial commitment, you will continue to be a voice of hope for those affected by suicide and a leader in suicide prevention.

There are a number of ways to make a planned gift:

- Bequest gifts from your will or trust

- Gifts of retirement plan assets

- Gifts of life insurance

- Gifts from a charitable lead trust

- Gifts from a charitable remainder trust

Don't have a will? Getting started is easier than you think!

AFSP is partnering with FreeWill, a free service that allows you to create a fully valid legal will or guide you through planning your will before finding a lawyer near you. Including a gift to AFSP is a powerful way to save lives and increase suicide prevention awareness for generations to come; however, FreeWill is available to you whether you designate a charitable gift or not.

Start the process of writing your will at no cost to you.

Did you know that there are additional assets not covered in a standard will or trust?

If you have an IRA, 401(k), life insurance policy, or any additional accounts, these are called "non-probate assets" and are planned for separately from a will or trust. Using FreeWill's online tool, you can log all of your assets, decide who will be the beneficiary, and receive printable instructions on how to set each one up with your broker.

Plan your beneficiaries today.

Including AFSP in your estate plans also automatically designates you as a member of our Legacy of Hope Society, which allows us to recognize your pledge to the future of AFSP. No immediate gift is necessary and you can be a member and still remain anonymous. To join, simply name AFSP as a beneficiary in your estate plans and let us know by filling out the Legacy of Hope commitment form.
