Each year, suicide claims more lives than war, murder, and natural disasters combined. Yet suicide prevention doesn't receive anywhere near the funding as other leading causes of death. It's up to Hikers like us to make a difference. Together we can change the conversation about mental health and put a stop to this tragic loss of life.
Springbrook Trail is a walking/biking trail located in the City of Antigo. The 2.26-mile trail is a combination of asphalt, boardwalk, and wood chip paths along Antigo Lake and Spring Brook before meandering through forests.

Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection.
The Hike for Hope is a journey of remembrance and a hike that unites a community – a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones. We all wear honor beads - each color shows our personal connection to the cause, and helps us identify others who understand our experience
