HOW TO PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY
We are excited to bring this event to you virtually through the following options to participate on April 9th from 4pm-7:30pm. Here is how you can join the upcoming event and provide support for suicide prevention:
Participants can register as a Virtual Walker at www.afsp.org/csus. If you have already registered in advance, no need to change registration to virtual walker for the event.
The virtual event will be hosted on the following social media outlets for you to follow along for the virtual event:

Follow along between now and April 9th to interact with us for the virtual event. On April 9th, we will host the virtual walk event during the following times for you to participate from your physical distancing location:
4:00 pm - Virtual Resource Fair
4:30 pm - #PosterParty: Create your poster for the virtual walk to share in memory of those walking for or notes of encouragement to share support. Tag @outofthedarknesscsus or @American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - Greater Sacramento Chapter to share during the virtual walk portion.
5:00 pm - Join the #HereForYou Challenge by selecting 5 people you are there for and giving them a shout out on social media with the #hereforyou and tag @outofthedarknesscsus or @American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - Greater Sacramento Chapter . Even though we may be physically distancing, we are still standing together and never alone with our Hornet Family.
5:30 pm - Welcome Ceremony
5:45 pm - Virtual Walk Event Speakers
6:00 pm - #WhyIWalk - Share with us your reason for walking with us in support of suicide prevention.
6:15 pm - Bead Ceremony - interact with us and share your bead colors for your support for suicide prevention and wear your bead colors on your virtual walk in honor of today's event. #BeadCeremony
6:30 pm - Virtual Walk - Take a walk with your quarantine crew, snap a photo on your walk with your poster and share with @outofthedarknesscsus or @American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - Greater Sacramento Chapter for us to follow along on your walk.
7:00 pm - Closing Ceremony - Join together for our closing thoughts and thank you for participating in the virtual walk event.

What’s your color? We invite you to wear the color(s) that relate to why you are walking with us. Get creative! Clothing, ribbons, beads or jewelry are just a few ways to wear your color.
Walk donations are accepted until June 30th.
