This will NOT be a traditional, full-on walk as in years past. We will have an in-person, drop-by experience the day of October 4th to stop by Keuka Lake State Park to pick up your team's goodies, connect with the event committee, and participate in some self-guided stations, all following state and local guidelines.
WAIT … ARE WE STILL WALKING TO FIGHT SUICIDE?

We won't be walking as a group, but encourage you to walk on October 4th on your terms: you get to choose your own course, what time you start, and who walks next to you (within safe distancing guidelines)! The walking is real—it's the community that's virtual this year. Feel free to walk around Keuka Lake State Park and enjoy the natural beauty of the Finger Lakes!

T-SHIRTS

Raise $150 by October 4th and receive an official Out of the Darkness Experience t-shirt!

PETS

Leashed, friendly dogs are invited to join our walk as part of Paws for Prevention! Celebrate our canine caregivers and honor all they do to be great companions for us. For a $10 donation to AFSP, your pup will receive a branded bandanna. Visit the Paws table the day of the Yates County walk, or pre-register by emailing Denise at gcs3318@yahoo.com. Please be prepared to show proof of rabies vaccination.

The Out of the Darkness Experience is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.
