Drive to Fight Suicide Out of the Darkness Dallas Experience
While the Out of the Darkness Walks in North Texas are going to be different this year, our mission to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide has not changed. Mental Health and suicide prevention are more important than ever. We are a strong and resilient community, united in our effort to fight suicide, raise awareness, educate our communities, support those who have lost loved ones, and support those with lived experience. We use our voices and share our stories to provide hope.
Although we are not able to gather thousands of people for our traditional event, we have found an alternative way to still bring people together. As a result, we’ve been working hard to transition to the Drive to Fight Suicide DFW Metro Experience where we can still connect with you.
We remain dedicated to providing you with opportunities to connect, heal, share stories, create impact, and show you that you are not alone. We invite you to drive through the DFW Metro Experience - entirely from your car.
Click the Register Now button at the top of the page to get started right away.

Thanks to Participants and Donors like you, AFSP has been able to set a bold goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.

Virtual Memory Wall
The memory wall is a beloved staple of the Dallas Out of the Darkness Walk, and we are excited to offer a virtual memory wall this year! Please follow the link below to submit photos of yourself, your loved ones, or whomever you are joining us to celebrate in remembrance or of your loved ones.
Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection. There is an honor bead for everyone, whether you have lost a loved one, struggle personally, support a friend and/or family member, or all of the above. Learn more by watching our honor bead video.
The Out of the Darkness Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.
