Welcome to the Out of the Darkness Las Vegas Experience
While the Las Vegas Out of the Darkness Walk is going to look different this year, our mission to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide has not changed. We are a strong and resilient community, united in our effort to fight suicide, raise awareness, educate our communities, support those who have lost loved ones, and support those with lived experience. We use our voices and share our stories to provide hope.
We invite you to join us this spring for an Out of the Darkness Experience. We’re working hard to plan meaningful opportunities to connect and inspire you, and we will share more details about our exciting plans in the coming weeks.

VIRTUAL PROGRAM TO BEGIN AT 9:00 am on Facebook and YouTube
Location: Craig Ranch Regional Park LIMITED CROWD SIZE
Time: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm- Teams have been assigned a designated START time. You can find your time here. This form will be updated for new teams on 4/12/21.
If you signed up as an Individual Walker, we invite you to come between 10 am and 12 pm and you can join a team!
At this time, we have been approved for a limited gathering at Craig Ranch Regional Park. Due to crowd size limitations, we are scaling back the event for safety and adherence to protocols. We will be hosting a Shirt and Bead Pickup during the above hours. We are asking that anyone who is high risk, to come during the 9:00- 9:30 am time.
We have scheduled teams to arrive at a designated time. Team Captains will be able to pick up your Honor Beads for your team and those who qualified the shirt may obtain those as well. Once you have your beads, your team may walk the route at the Park. We will be masked, gloved and practicing social distancing for safety. All participants are asked to do the same. Masks are required. Please do your part to help ensure safety at the event. We are adhering to the standards and protocols set forth by the State and our permit approval is based on mask wearing, and social distancing. We may not have more than 250 folks on site at a time, so we kindly ask for your willingness to adhere to your assigned time. Once you have taken your walk, you are welcome to hang out in the park. We will be in the East Meadow and there are MANY grassy areas around where you may set up space to meet with your teams! Have a picnic and enjoy time outside, together.
Please practice social distancing from those not in your household and adhere to CDC and local health recommendations. We will be in the Gazeebo in the East Meadow. We are still finalizing details and will update you via email as we get closer.
We had hoped to have our full walk in 2021 and are grateful for the connection we will still be able to have. Together we made it through 2020 and TOGETHER we will get through 2021. We will be back to our in-person Walks come 2022. We have HOPE in that. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

Registration is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted until June 30th.

Activities of Hope and Healing
Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental illness can feel like no one understands what you are going through. Unlike other illnesses, it is difficult to look at someone and know their connection. There is an honor bead for everyone, whether you have lost a loved one, struggle personally, support a friend and/or family member, or all of the above. Learn more by watching our honor bead video.
The Out of the Darkness Experience is a journey of remembrance, hope, and support. It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about. We will be creating a Remembrance Video and featuring our walkers WHY. If you would like to add a submission, visit our form.
