While this year is going to look a little different in years past, we encourage participants and their teams to walk together this weekend.
We have approval to have groups of 25 or less walk on Butler's campus this Sunday. If you would like to walk the route on Butler's Campus, please pick a time slot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050D4AA8A922A5FA7-butler
Walker's who raise $100 by midnight on 4/18 will receive the 2021 Butler Walk shirt by mail. (Shirts will be mailed to address in walker's DonorDrive account).
Honor beads and AFSP resources can be picked up in front of the Riley Room on Butler's campus between 1 PM and 3 PM on Sunday 4/18.
The safety and well-being of our participants, volunteers, and staff is our top priority. We will be closely monitoring the safety guidelines and regulations given by the school/county/state, and will have an in-person walk and/or smaller in-person events as long as it is safe to do so.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, as well as your dedication to preventing suicide.

Activities of Hope & Healing
Losing someone to suicide or struggling with a mental health condition can sometimes feel as if no one understands what you are going through. Wearing honor beads the day of the walk is a way to show each other that we are all connected to the cause, and that no one is alone.
There is an honor bead for everyone, whether you have lost a loved one, struggle personally, support a friend and/or family member, or all of the above.
The Out of the Darkness Campus Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope, support, and a walk that unites a campus and community – a time to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental illness have affected our lives and our loved ones.
Walk donations are accepted until June 30th.
When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.
As the leader in the fight against suicide, and thanks to walkers like you from cities across the country, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.
