Support Montgomery County School Psychologists Association (MCSPA) as we walk to fight suicide in the Out of the Darkness Montgomery County MD Walk for the fourth time.

As school psychologists, we unfortunately see the impact of depression and suicide on our schools and communities every year. Suicide is the 1st leading cause of death for individuals ages 10-14 and the 3rd leading cause of death for individuals 15-35. MCSPA is joining the community of nearly 250k people walking in hundreds of cities across the country in support of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. We also walk to show support for our local communities, to show our families that school-based mental health services are available, and to let our students know that their lives are important. Your story is not over and help is real.

Please help us reach our fundraising goal by donating to a team member. To donate online, please select "Roster" and then choose one of the team members listed. Once you're on their page, click "Donate Now." Donations can only be made to individuals, but the total each participant raises goes toward our team goal. Last year, MCSPA raised $3,761 and our goal this year is $5,000.

All donations are 100% tax deductible and will help bring AFSP one step closer to achieving their bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by 2025. Your donation can help to fund research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.

On behalf of MCSPA, thank you!
