Join Me in Supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
I'm walking in the Out of the Darkness Salt Lake City Walk to fight suicide and support AFSP's bold goal to reduce the suicide rate 20% by 2025.
My Why: In April of 2013 my Dad made the decision to end his life. When I first got involved with this cause it was part of my grieving process. I wanted to drown out my feelings, keep myself busy and hopefully prevent someone from ever having to feel the way that I did then. Throughout the years as I have attended AFSP events, done their trainings and watched the amount of people they have helped heal and save it has become a tradition.
Suicide has become a major problem that no one seems to want to address and if being a part of an organization like AFSP is what it takes to prevent unnecessary deaths I am for it.
Help me reach my goal by clicking the "Donate" button on this page. All donations are 100% tax deductible and benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), funding research, education, advocacy, and support for those affected by suicide.
Thank you in advance to all my friends, family and acquaintances that have helped me achieve my goals every year and I look forward to achieving and surpassing that goal for years to come!
